Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The Trinity

We believe that there is one God who exists eternally in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God—co-equal, co-eternal, and sharing the same divine nature—yet they are not three gods, but one. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father, but all three work in perfect unity in creation, redemption, and sustaining the world.

  • God

We believe that God the Father is the sovereign, holy, and loving Creator of all things, who reigns with perfect wisdom, power, and justice. He is infinite in knowledge, eternal in existence, and unchanging in His character. As Father, He is faithful to His promises, gracious toward His children, and actively involved in His creation and the lives of believers. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, for the redemption of the world and desires a personal relationship with all people through faith. God the Father is worthy of all worship, honor, trust, obedience, and glory. He holds everything in the palm of His hand.

  • Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who was sent by the Father to redeem the world. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, taught with authority, and revealed the love and truth of God. He willingly suffered and died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day, conquering sin and death once and for all time. He appeared to many before He ascended into heaven, where He reigns at the right hand of the Father, and He will one day return in glory to judge the living and the dead. Through faith and belief in Him, we receive forgiveness of our sins, a new life, and an eternal hope. He is the ultimate example of what it means to love and serve others and we are called to live lives that give glory to Him.

  • Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the unifying power between God and humanity, and is the source of our comfort, guidance, and strength. The Holy Spirit helps us to understand and appreciate the Bible, and helps us to live out its teachings in our lives. We believe that the Holy Spirit is with us always, faithfully guiding us in our walk with God. We also believe that the Holy Spirit gives us gifts such as wisdom, knowledge, understanding, healing, miracles, tongues, and prophecy so that we can be used to serve God and spread His love.

  • The Bible

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible, that it is the true and inspired word of God. We believe that the Bible is our standard for life, and its truth, integrity, and relevance is of utmost importance. The Bible is not just a book, but a living guide, full of God’s wisdom and guidance. Through scripture, we learn about God’s character, how to live and act, and how to grow in our spiritual journey. We believe that by reading and studying the Bible, we are able to draw closer to God and deepen our understanding of His love for us.

  • Salvation

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God’s grace, available to all who repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is not earned by human effort or good works but is received through personal faith in the finished work of Christ—His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. Through salvation, all believers are forgiven, justified, spiritually reborn, and eternally secured in Christ. This transformative relationship begins the moment of faith and continues as the Holy Spirit works within the believer to grow in holiness and obedience.

  • The Church

We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ. We believe that the Church is a holy assembly of believers, united in faith and love. We strive to be a community of believers who are united in our faith in Jesus Christ and in our commitment to serve Him and His kingdom. We are committed to loving God and loving others, and to be known for our love for one another. We believe that the Church is a body of believers who are called to serve and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to be faithful disciples of Jesus and to follow His teachings. We strive to live out our faith through loving actions and service to our community and the world.

  • Baptism

We believe that baptism is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It is a public testimony of the believer’s new life in Christ and a declaration of their identification with Him in death to sin and resurrection to walk in newness of life. Baptism does not save but follows salvation as an outward expression of an inward transformation. It’s how we proclaim our allegiance to Christ our Savior.

At The Fellowship, we practice baptism by full immersion.

  • Communion

We believe that communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is a sacred ordinance ordained by Jesus Christ for baptized believers to observe in remembrance of His sacrificial death and resurrection (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26). It symbolizes the body broken and the blood shed for the forgiveness of sins and serves as a profound proclamation of Christ’s atoning work and the believer’s ongoing fellowship with Him and the church. Communion is to be taken with reverence, self-examination, and gratitude, reflecting on the grace of God and the unity of believers until Christ’s return.

  • Prayer

We believe that prayer is a vital and powerful means of communication with God, through which believers express worship, confession, and gratitude. It is also a way that we humble ourselves before a perfect and Holy God as we share our needs and the needs of others with Him. It is both a personal and communal practice, grounded in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Prayer reflects our dependence on God, aligns our hearts with His will, and invites His presence and guidance into every aspect of our life. Scripture encourages us to pray continually with faith, humility, and confidence, knowing that God hears and answers according to His perfect wisdom and timing.

  • Marriage

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman for life, as revealed in Scripture (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6). It is a holy union designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22–33), providing a framework for love, companionship, discipleship, sexual intimacy, and the raising of children in the nurture and instruction of the Lord. Marriage is not merely a social contract but a divine institution that demonstrates God's design for human relationships and the flourishing of families and society. As such, we affirm the biblical definition of marriage and commit to uphold and honor it in our teaching, ministry, and practice.

  • Gender

We believe that God created every person in His image, distinctly as male and female (Genesis 1:27), each reflecting His design and purpose. Gender is a God-ordained reality that is essential to identity, complementing one another in marriage and reflecting the order and creativity of God's creation. We affirm that God’s design for gender is unchanging and purposeful, and that all people are to live in accordance with the biological sex given at birth, embracing the roles and responsibilities He has established. This belief calls us to uphold the dignity and worth of every person while faithfully teaching and living out the biblical understanding of gender as revealed in Scripture.

  • Sexuality

We believe that human sexuality is a gift from God, designed to be expressed exclusively within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6). Sexual intimacy outside of this God-ordained marriage relationship is contrary to His will and the teachings of Scripture. We affirm that all people are created in the image of God and are called to live holy and pure lives, fleeing sexual immorality of every kind and embracing God’s standards for sexual conduct as revealed in the Bible (1 Corinthians 6:18-20; Hebrews 13:4). Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers are called to repentance, restoration, and faithful obedience to God’s design for sexuality.
